HALO continues its UK tour in Southampton
After its premiere at Attenborough Centre for Creative Arts, HALO is presented by John Hansard Gallery at MAST Mayflower Studios, Southampton, UK from 21-30 June.
On the ocassion of HALO's UK Tour, we interviewed the artists about the evolution of HALO as a work of art, their research at CERN deconstructing science as a process, and their ultimate interest in nature and looking out for the unknown. You can read the interview here.
Tickets to see HALO at John Hansard Gallery are free for attendance but must be booked in advance. Free one hour slots are bookable via the MAST website.
To coincide with the exhibition of HALO, John Hansard Gallery is showing online Semiconductor’s The View from Nowhere. In the film, Semiconductor offer an ethnographic observation of the practices, techniques and languages developed by scientists at CERN, revealing the rich culture of the laboratory. Their exploration raises multiple questions: how do scientists conceptualize and organise reality; what is our viewpoint, as observers; and how does science mediate nature?.
You can watch The View from Nowhere via the John Hansard Gallery website until 30 June.

HALO is an Audemars Piguet Art Commission, curated by Mónica Bello and first presented in the context of Art Basel in Basel in 2018. In collaboration with CERN.
HALO presented by John Hansard Gallery and MAST Mayflower Studios is supported by Arts Council England.
