Does science need fiction? Does fiction still need science? What kind of fictional spaces, and fictional scenarios emerge when scientists and artists collaborate? This conference, in collaboration with Arts at CERN, will focus on the mutual influences between science and fiction through artists and scientists’ interventions and panels. From bio-design to particle physics, we will explore collaborations that lead to different types of outcomes, such as new media formats and new narratives in various fields ranging from interaction design to product design and visual arts.
