Nathan Witt is a British artist and graduated in painting from the Winchester School of Art, the Royal College of Art and Ashkal Alwan’s Home Workspace Programme in Beirut.
Over the last ten years, Witt has been living and working between Palestine, Lebanon and the South West of England where he grew up. He has been a resident with Delfina Foundation, Art School Palestine, Campus in Camps in Dheisheh Refugee Camp, Decolonizing Architecture in Beit Sahour, Batroun Art Project in Lebanon, Hospitalfield Arts in Arbroath, [SPACE] Studios and Mansion in Beirut. He has recently worked with Art Jameel on a research-based Covid Micro Commission and has a residency with MMAG in Amman, Jordan in 2022.
Recent exhibitions include: Real Time curated by Damien Roach at Seventeen Gallery, London (2020), PARSE Biennale on Time, University of Gothenburg, Sweden (2015); A Interloper at CCA Gallery, Glasgow (2015); On Concerning the Bodyguard, The Tetley, Leeds (2014); A Museum of Immortality, Ashkal Alwan, Beirut (2014); Proxy Special, Platform Gallery, Belfast (2014); NOA III (Not Only Arabic) Research Week at 98 Weeks, Beirut (2013); Points of Departure, Al Mahatta Gallery, Ramallah (2013).
In 2019, Witt received an Honorary Mention of the Collide Award.
