Koch merges different fields of research to create hybrid entanglements and improbable intellectual encounters

Dominique Koch studied photography at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig from 2004 until 2011. Her installations can be described as “thinking laboratories.” The artist merges different fields of research in her work and creates hybrid entanglements and improbable intellectual encounters.

Recent solo exhibitions include: Moving Knots Across Strings at MASI Lugano (2022), Holobiont Society at CAN, Centre d’art Neuchâtel (2017), Maybe We Should Rejuvenate the Words rather than the Bodies at Rinomina in Paris (2016) and Beyond Chattering and Noise at Centre Culturel Suisse in Paris (2015).

In 2023, Koch was selected for the Connect Chile dual residency together with Marcela Moraga. Both artists completed a residency between CERN in Geneva and the astronomical observatory facilities of ESO and ALMA in Chile.
