On Thursday, 4 November at 5:30pm CET,  join us for an online information session about the Collide Residency Award.

Register on Eventbrite

The Collide Residency Award 2021 was launched on 7 October and has already had a thrilling response from artists interested in fundamental science and in engaging with the scientific communities at CERN and Barcelona. The call for entries is now open and will continue accepting submissions until Monday, 22 November.

It might be complex to understand the scope of scientific research and imagine how an artist can engage with science, particularly with physics. Following last year's successful response, the Collide Info Day will give the opportunity to prospective applicants to find out more about the residencies at CERN and Barcelona, to clarify doubts about the conditions of the call and the application process, and to imagine significant dialogues between artists and scientists.

You can send us your questions on Arts at CERN's TwitterInstagram and Facebook accounts. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions to the Collide team of scientists and curators on the live chat.

With the participation of:

Mónica Bello, Curator and Head of Arts at CERN

Julia Miralles, Adviser on Science and University Policy at Barcelona City Council

Lluis Nacenta, Director of Hangar Centre for Art Research and Production

Támara Vázquez Schröder, experimental physicist at the ATLAS Experiment at CERN

Xavier Luri, Director of The Institute of Cosmos Sciences of Barcelona (ICCUB)

Collide is the international residency programme of Arts at CERN in collaboration with a city. Over the three-year period, 2019-2021, Collide is in collaboration with the Barcelona City Council.
