The internationally known painter and sculptor has been Arts@CERN Visiting Artist during October. He was on a special one day curated visit to the laboratory, tailormade for his interests in everything from lead, diamonds and stars to deep time and memory. He also visited detectors underground, including ALICE: A Large Ion Collider Experiment. Who knows if it will be a source of inspiration for him building new underground structures, like the ones he created at Barjac, France. Anselm currently has a major retrospective at the Royal Academy of Arts.
